Procedure
To reconstitute the contents of each vial, aseptically add 2ml of Sterile Distilled Water. Close the vial and gently agitate to assist reconstitution. Avoid frothing and the resulting solution should be clear and free from visible particulate matter. Add the contents of the vial to 500ml of sterile base medium of choice (Pseudomonas Agar base is recommended) prepared according to the manufacture’s instructions and allowed to cool 45°- 50°C.
Mix gently but thoroughly and pour aseptically into sterile Petri dishes.
Overnight storage at 2°-8°C is recommended to allow equilibration of the supplement within the medium. For extended storage, plates should be contained in sealed plastic sleeves or similar packing.
